Heartsaver CPR/AED

AHAheart.torchHeartsaver CPR/AED:
This course teaches CPR, AED use, relief of a choking infant, adult, or child, as well as use of barrier devices for all ages.

Tuition: $45

Textbook: Heartsaver AED Student Workbook.
Tuition includes instruction and all course materials except for the course textbook.

The textbook is not part of the tuition. Books are available at the Center for Emergency Medicine for $14. They are also available from Laerdal Medical (www.laerdal.com), Channing Bete (www.channingbete.com), and Worldpoint (www.eWorldPoint.com).

Upon sucessful completion of the course, students will receive an American Heart Association course completion card.Group Courses Availability:
The Center for Emergency Medicine offers special classes for groups of 6 or more people at both the Center or your facility! If you have students interested in learning this life-saving skill, whether it is a group of 6 or over 100, please contact Mickey Slaven at slavenm@upmc.edu for more information.

Registration:
Pre-registration is mandatory
. We must recieve your registration at least one week before the intended course date. Enrollment is limited, and classes are filled in the order in which applications are recieved. Phone reservations are not accepted.

Refunds:
Requests for refunds must be made in writing at least five working days prior to the course. The course fee will be returned with a $20 deduction for administrative fees. No refunds are issued for cancellations made after the aforementioned deadline or failure to attend the course. In the event for course cancellation, participants are notified and a full refund granted.
